evening networking events
Here are some simple tips and guidance to make your Twilight Networking experience even more enjoyable.
What you can expect...
We all realise the importance of working together and supporting each other – especially in the current climate.
We place being friendly and welcoming high on the priority list, so if you are new to networking or this is your first meeting, don’t worry.
We will look after you – we understand how daunting networking can be sometimes.
The zoom meeting room will open at 5.30pm; be sure you have joined the meeting by 5.55 pm.
After you join the zoom meeting room, you will be placed into a small breakout room before the main meeting starts, from 5.30pm to 6pm for some informal networking with 2 or 3 other attendees.
The meeting will start at 6pm sharp. I will do a brief welcome and introduction and we will then go into the 10 minute presentation by one of the members.
Around 6.15pm, we will go into the 45-60 second pitches (the length of your pitch will be dependent on the number of people in the room, as we will finish by 7pm).
I will announce who is to speak and who is to follow. When it’s your turn, please unmute yourself. I will be timing each pitch, to ensure we finish the meeting on time. If the buzzer goes off after your allotted time, please wrap up your pitch within 5 seconds.
An effective pitch includes: (1) who you are, (2) what you do, (3) how your service/product benefits people, (4) and who are you looking for to be referred to you.
